The Stake Relief Society Service Day on Saturday May 1st at the New Hope Women's Shelter in Owego was a huge success! There was awesome representation from the branch and also a great turn out from the rest of the wards in the stake. The stake was able to collect an astounding number of items to donate to the shelter, we had the administration office hallway filled with items donated! Thank you to everyone that helped with our Relief Society Meeting Service activity of putting together hygiene kits and tying blankets- these were all donated on Saturday as well.
People contributed to the service day in various capacities: working on quilts at the Stake Center, sorting items at the shelter's administration offices, cleaning/yard work at the shelter and also painting one of the windows at the admin. offices.
